As an emerging business owner – rich in ideas but with no or few concrete plans – you are striving to create an organization. How can this be done? What steps should you take to build a growing enterprise?
“Let’s Get That Business Going!” Workshops
These allow you to:
- Develop your vision statement into a concrete plan
- Supply you with the important business and organizational skills that are crucial for your emerging enterprise
Our Method
We start with the common-sense idea that a cluster of communication skills are what you need at this beginning stage. These will become further developed into the three levels or “tiers” of your organization as your emerging business grows and becomes an established business with the following levels or tiers:
- Entry level and direct service tier includes jobs such as customer service, intake, sales, and help and support jobs;
- Middle management and supervisory tier includes jobs such as sales manager, department head, director of research and development; and
- Executive and strategic tier includes jobs such as vice-president of marketing, chief executive officer, and governmental affairs liaison.
Workshops for Emerging Organizations
Certain “core competencies” are needed at this early and important stage:
- Knowledge of common business documents
- Knowledge of how to engage with the potential or current customers or clients
- Basic knowledge of business culture and practices
- Knowledge of advanced business writing (report writing, grant and proposal writing)
- Presentation skills to communicate with a variety of audiences, clients, or customers
- Development of goals, objectives, and relevant action plans for the organization
- Conflict and crisis management
